Who we are

Larry was born and raised in Lubbock, and spent all of his youth there, except for about a year in 1969/1970 when his family moved to Paris, Texas before returning.

Larry’s family is deeply rooted with veterans, his four uncles on his mother’s side and his bio-dad were all members of the USAF, while his step-dad was a member of the US Navy, or as he liked to call it, Uncle Sam’s canoe club.

Larry met his wife in Lubbock and they married while he was serving in the Air Force. He has been stationed in Alabama, Korea, Texas (twice), Italy, and New Mexico. While in New Mexico he was deployed to Kuwait between the two desert storms.

After retiring from the USAF, he spent 21 years at Texas Tech, and was most proud of the time he got to spend with Students, engaging and hopefully teaching them something in his roll as Operations Superintendent.

From there he worked for a while as a locksmith, then in a call center (remote from home) and it was just decided he is going to fully retire on Valentine’s day 2025. He will be spending more time working on books, and other honeydo items for his wife.
